We've got Tax Credits for you!

Donations of $1,000 and more to Gene Slay's Girls & Boys Club  are eligible to receive Youth Opportunity Program (YOP) State Tax Credits. YOP Tax Credits reduces your Missouri state tax liability by 50% of the amount of your gift. It is a state-sponsored program that provides tax credits to donors who help nonprofits that make a positive difference in the lives of youth and thus the economic welfare of the state of Missouri.

How to Apply

To receive YOP Tax Credits, you must have a Missouri state tax liability. There must have been a donation made to GSGBC by either check, credit card, or stock. Donor Advised Funds that already received a tax benefit do not qualify.

The credits are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. GSGBC's Development Department will work with donors to apply for the credits through the State of Missouri.

To apply,  the GSGBC Development Department will send you an application. Once you have completed the application, it will need to be notarized. YOP applications must include financial documentation proving the donation was made by the applicant (such as a bank statement).  Any information not pertaining to the donation can be redacted. Please return to staff member once complete. GSGBC Development Department will submit the application on behalf of the donor, and notify you once application is approved.
